Transitioning to a Paid Platform

Over the past couple of months BotWiz's user base has grow exponentially, moving from 5,270 active users to 13,999 active users, which is a growth rate of approximate 165.79% in just ~3 months. Additionally, the total of applications/bots has risen from 13,834 to 22,986 which is a growth rate of approximately 66.15%. While these numbers may seem low, the rate of growth in such a short (unprecedented) amount of time lead to system failures, repeated downtime and major issues.

BotWiz is committed to providing users with the best experience possible. With new issues appearing almost daily and our service becoming unreliable, severely unstable, and non-profitable, the tough decision was made to start the transition into making BotWiz a paid only platform. This is something we never intended on doing, but a step we needed to take to restore reliability in our service. Upon making this decision we posted a brief announcement in our Discord server explaining the situation and the steps we will be taking in order to mitigate the issue. A short while after this announcement was posted, we had a major setback which lead to the deadline for the transition being brought forward drastically. As such, on the 6th October 2025 (10/06/2025) the transition to a paid platform was completed.

So, what exactly has changed. And what else will change in the coming future? Well, as part of the transition we have depreciated the formerly stable version of BotWiz and rolled out the Beta version to replace the depreciated stable version. This update rolled out a vast range of new features, improvements, and performance enhancements including:

  • Support for Components V2

  • Support for Text Displays, and All Select Menus in Modals

  • A Marketplace for users to upload creations

  • improved Modules Management System (MMS),

  • Numerous performance and stability enhancements

and so much more. Additionally, all restrictions previously enforced have been removed to signify the change from a free platform to a paid platform. These changes have not just affected the site/dashboard but have extended to the bots too; Seeing a 2-3x speed improvement on responsiveness and interaction handling speed.

What Happens to Free Users Bots?

We know that there will be a lot of uncertainty regarding the usage and accessibility of applications/bots that do not have an active Premium Subscription. However, we can safely reassure you that your applications/bots will not be removed. Adding onto this, free users will still be able to access the dashboard at any time to create new flows, or copy existing flows to another provider/service if desired.

So what exactly has changed for free users? Well, not much. You can still do the same as previously. However, we have limited the space on servers to premium applications/bots only. This means if your application/bot does not have an active premium subscription, you will not be able to enable your application/bot. Additionally, due to support demand. We have restricted access to our support channels within our Discord server to premium users only.

While we know these changes will have a vast impact on a lot of users, with 99.86% of users not having an active premium subscription at the time of writing this update (6th November 2025 11/06/2025). Changes had to be made to ensure our platform remains reliable for the users who use it, as well as to ensure it generates enough profit to sustain itself for the future.

So, What's Coming Next?

Now we have reasonably recovered from the issues mentioned previously, we have our eye on some new goals and some massive updates and plans that we are actively working on in the background. As we progress forward with this new stage we will continue to roll out new patches and minor updates to ensure users can enjoy BotWiz and evolve their creations with new features and performance enhancements.

We invite you to stay updated about the latest features and improvements published via our Discord server, or our updates list.
